INL Site EM CAB

Welcome to the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Site Environmental Management (EM) Citizens Advisory Board (CAB) web site. The INL Site EM CAB is a federally appointed citizens' panel that provides independent advice and recommendations to the Office of Assistant Secretary, and designees, for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) EM Program.

The INL Site EM CAB was formed in 1994 and consists of 12 to 15 members chosen to reflect the diversity of perspectives in the affected community and region. Members are appointed by DOE and serve in an advisory capacity. CAB members receive no compensation. Expertise in cleanup, or INL cleanup specifically, is not required for membership. The INL Site EM CAB seeks members with an interest in INL Site cleanup and a willingness to commit time to provide their perspective.

The INL Site EM CAB holds its meetings on a bi-monthly basis, and all meetings are open to the public. They are announced in public advertisements, the Federal Register, and are posted on this website. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and provide comment on the cleanup program. Agendas and minutes for the public meetings are available online or by contacting us. Also available are copies of all of INL Site EM CAB recommendations.
