Primary launch sites for NASA's Expendable Launch Vehicles are Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., and Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. NASA's Wallops Island, Va., flight facility, Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the North Pacific, and Kodiak Island, Alaska, are additional ELV launch locations.

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
Located adjacent to Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is ideal for spacecraft requiring a west-east orbit.

Located along California's central coast between Los Angeles and San Francisco, Vandenberg is preferred for spacecraft requiring a north-south orbit.

Operated by Goddard Space Flight Center, this is NASA's principal facility for suborbital research programs.
