On July 17, 2012, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences held a day-long regional forum on the Humanities and Civil Society. Two dozen scholars and civic leaders provided testimony on the importance of the humanities and social sciences. State humanities council leaders from the New England area were in attendance as were representatives from the Federation of State Humanities Councils. The forum was recorded and videos of the presentations are available on the Academy’s website.
