Cartoon America exhibition tour

Katherine Roeder presents talk, "Wide Awake in Slumberland: Fantasy and Mass Culture in the work of Winsor McCay"

Ms. Roeder's illustrated presentation is based on her research, which has been supported by her fellowship from the Swann Foundation for Caricature and Cartoon. The lecture is sponsored by the foundation and the Prints and Photographs Division.

Prints and Photographs from Copyright Deposit Collections

During the summer of 2006, Junior Fellows assisted staff in sorting and inventorying more than 2,000 nineteenth century prints and more than 3,000 photographs dating 1880-1920. Selected items are being cataloged and scanned.

Stereograph Groups

Junior Fellows helped organize and describe more than thirty-five groups of stereographs (about 600 stereographs in all). Selected items are being individually cataloged and digitized.
