Design Vehicle Improvements to Reduce Health Issues Phase II |
The study is being conducted through research of literature and analyses of different heavy truck designs currently being evaluated, and finite element modeling (to reduce vibration) to identify the best means to reduce the level of pollutants, noise, and vibration experienced in truck cabs and sleeper berths. The study will also provide an estimate of the cost associated with each of the recommended changes to truck design.
