Student transportation within DoDDS is provided based on pre-determined areas. When you register your child for school, you will be provided a school bus registration form. All students must be registered at the appropriate school bus office, as well as at the school, prior to being assigned a bus stop location. Since driving in the UK is very dangerous, we have initiated strict School Bus Misconduct Penalty Guidelines to better ensure the safety of our children. |

An integral part of how children get safely to and from school depends on the Community Crosswalk Program. In order to run this important program, it takes a combined community effort. We need volunteers, who can be military, civilians, and parents.
Several crosswalks are manned from approximately 0730--0815 and 1445--1510. |

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) policy neither encourages nor discourages home schooling, but they do recognize that home schooling is a sponsor's right and that it can be a legitimate alternative form of education.
DoDEA schools provide services for sponsors choosing to home school their minor dependents. Specified auxiliary services; such as, music, sports, extracurricular and inter-scholastic activities are available. There is a local home school group that offers support through monthly meetings and mentorship for families just getting started.
If you are interested in home-schooling your child while stationed at RAFs Lakenheath, Mildenhall or Feltwell, contact the School Liaison Officer for more information.
