Brig. Gen. Robert E. Dehnert Jr. is Program Director for the Command and Control, Battle Management, Communications Directorate, Missile Defense Agency, Washington, D.C. He is responsible for the development and fielding of the C2BMC element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System, which provides the combatant commanders with a tool that optimizes the effectiveness of the BMDS by pairing sensors and weapons systems together to defeat all ballistic missile threats in all phases of flight in all theaters around the globe.
General Dehnert is a 1977 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He received a master's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University in 1985. The general has commanded three squadrons and, prior to his current position, was the Program Executive Officer for Command and Control, and Combat Support Systems, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
