Since its establishment in 1921, Dahlgren School has been recognized throughout the Navy for providing an outstanding education to students in pre-K through eighth grade. In addition to an extensive academic program, we offer classes in music, art, drama, foreign language, physical education, health, guidance, and advanced math. Support services are available in special education, gifted and talented, speech and language, and counseling. Classrooms and computer labs are equipped with the best twenty-first technology and peripherals. Individual needs of students are well served by our small pupil/teacher ratios, by our diverse support staff, and through a wide range of services and facilities, including a state-of-the-art media center, science labs, auditorium with stage, and large gymnasium complete with climbing wall.
Activities include yearbook, garden club, newspaper club, knitting club, student council, NJHS, drama, music programs, basketball, track, pep squad, before-school open gym, and spelling bee.
The Dahlgren School faculty is comprised of a dedicated group of caring professionals. With
a supportive administration and many very involved parents, these individuals, through their team effort, are able to create a dynamic "Tiger" environment.
