Global Aviation Safety: Evolving a Common Culture

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) cooperate to improve aviation safety. They also facilitate, when appropriate, reciprocal acceptance of certificates/approvals by harmonizing standards and implementing guidance whenever possible. In this context, the US/Europe International Aviation Safety Conference provided a forum for open discussion among civil aviation authorities and industry representatives on current initiatives and strategic directions. This conference also served as a forum for interested parties to participate in harmonization and enhancement activities for a common safety culture and to present initiatives of their own to the global community.

For information about the conference topics and presentations, see the conference Agenda (PDF) and Conference Materials.
