CSM Antonio R. Lopez entered the Army on October 5, 1993 and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He then attended the Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, where he was awarded the MOS of 15R, AH-64 Apache Helicopter Repairer.

His previous assignments include: 2-227th Aviation Battalion, Hanau, Germany; 1-3rd Aviation Battalion, HAAF, Georgia; 6-6 Cavalry, 11th Aviation Regiment, Illesheim, Germany; 4th Squadron, 3d ACR, Fort Hood, Texas; 1-229th Aviation Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. His overseas tours include: Bosnia in support of IFOR; Kuwait in support of Operation Desert Thunder; Iraq in support of OEF and OIF1; Iraq in support of OIF 07-09.

CSM Lopez is a graduate of the Primary Leader Development Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, the First Sergeant Course, and the Sergeants Majors Academy. CSM Lopez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University.

CSM Lopez’s awards include the Senior Aircrew Member Badge, Driver/Mechanic Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1st OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2nd OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3rd OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Medal (1st Bronze Service Star), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2nd Bronze Service Star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 3), NATO Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, and Army Superior Unit Award. CSM Lopez is a recipient of the Order of Saint Michael.
