General questions relating to FLUXNET
We povide links to gain access to the data on the individual site information page under 'Data' -> 'Repository' section. Please contact the regional network, or the Site PI if the data access links are missing.
Tower data should be submitted to the appropriate network (Ameriflux, Carbo-Europe, Chine Flux, etc.). The regional networks will synchronize information.
We realize that at times members do face this situation. This happens due to network outages or when the mailing server stack gets filled. To help us resolve this issue, we request our members to follow up with us by sending the error messages that they received.
FLUXNET is a NASA-funded component of the ORNL DAAC. IT provides summary information about flux towers and links to eddy covariance data at regional networks.
Fluxnet.org is a Microsoft-funded activity to compile the 30-minute flux data in a relational database (data cube) in support of analyses conducted as part of the La Thuile over Workshop held in January 2007.

FLUXNET offers several resources and guidelines for compiling and submitting flux and site characteristics data.
We request that you also review the Best Practices for Submitting Data and the Parameter Definitions pages for information about how to construct data files that are most useful for the FLUXNET community.
A group of researchers led by Bev Law has prepared a manual of protocols and guidelines for biological sample collection and analysis and for compiling and submitting biological data. The manual contains detailed guidelines for making biological measurements in forests (biomass, primary production, ecosystem processes, etc.) and other vegetation types (such as crops) and for submission of biological data to a database. It has been developed specifically for North America forests and crops; however it may serve as guidelines for consistency in measurements for other biomes at the global level, and it can be easily modified for region-specific biome characteristics.
