Visitors
Coastal and Marine Geology Program and Eastern Region administrative staff met at the WHFC during the week of April 3rd to discuss the Geologic Division budget formulation process. Participating in this meeting were Ardis Greatorex, Janet Paquette, and Gail Sexton (WHFC), Pat Mullan (SPFC), Bill Adams and Paulette Zamora (MPFC via conference call), and Cheryl Smith, Vern Ragland, and Scott Tilley (Reston). The group prepared a document for the Policy Council/Round Table with suggestions on how to improve communications among all parties and the budget formulation process. Leila McKamey from the Reston Personnel Office visited the WHFC in April and provided seminars on the CSRS and FERS retirement plans. She brought retirement annuity calculations for many of the staff and held individual retirement counseling sessions. Joanne Ferreira (MPFC) is visiting the WHFC for two weeks to participate in the R/V Endeavor cruise and to work with Fran Hotchkiss and Jessica Cote on ways to process ADCP data.
