The U.S. Trustee Program has filed in bankruptcy court a national settlement with law firm Kaye Scholer LLP in the bankruptcy case of GSC Group, Inc. If approved by the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, the proposed settlement will resolve the U.S. Trustee’s allegations that Kaye Scholer failed to make accurate and complete disclosures in the case.

Director Cliff White joined Honorary Members, Senator Richard Durbin and Representative Howard Coble, and others from the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11 at its first public meeting.   The purpose of the Commission and the topics it plans to address were discussed.  The Director is a non-voting member who will offer assistance and perspectives as the Commission conducts its research and deliberations.
