The National Museum of the United States Air Force hosts outdoor aviation events each year (weather permitting). Here is a list of upcoming events:

Freedom's Call Military Tattoo
June 28, 2013
Join Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for its annual celebration of freedom! The event features live music, aircraft fly-overs and fireworks, and it takes place on the museum's back field. Gates open at 4 p.m. for pre-show activities, and the show begins at 8 p.m. FREE admission and parking.

Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show
Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 2013
See daring acrobatics performed by model jets, helicopters and warbirds during a three-day air show of giant scale radio-controlled aircraft on the runway behind the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This event is hosted by the museum each year over Labor Day weekend and is sponsored by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers. Hours for the event are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. FREE admission and parking. World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous
Sept. 26-28, 2014
Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I in Europe as one of the nation's premier historical aviation events brings the excitement and adrenaline of early air power to Ohio. The three-day World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous features vintage original and reproduction WWI aircraft, radio-controlled models, era automobiles, period re-enactors and a collector's show. This flying event is offered by the museum and the Great War Aeroplanes Association. FREE admission and parking. Note: Please watch the museum's website or social media networks for weather updates.
