Michael Robbins, the U.S. Department of Education’s senior advisor for Nonprofit Partnerships will host the opening plenary session at the White House Community Partnership Summit on Friday, March in Orlando, Fla. Robbins’s presentation will focus on college access and affordability. He will also discuss Together for Tomorrow, a new initiative to spotlight existing and spur new community engagement in turning around persistently low-performing schools.

The White House Community Partnership Summit in Orlando is the fourth in a series of summits that will bring Obama Administration officials and agency staff from diverse policy areas together with civic leaders, business owners, and other community stakeholders to discuss issues critical to each particular community, region, and the nation. Administration offices and agencies represented will include: the White House of Public Engagement; the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, Transportation, Veterans Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency, the General Services Administration, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Small Business Administration.
