The employees of the National Park Service care
for the special places that are the heritage of America. This work
requires a wide range of skills in a variety of disciplines. Training
and Development activities are designed to help employees fulfill
our mission through education, performance improvement and knowledge
management. Whether it is in traditional classrooms, self-paced
computer programs, classes delivered by satellite television or
blended models, we are committed to meeting the charge Director
Horace M. Albright gave us in his farewell message in 1933, "Do
not let the service become just another Government bureau, keep
it youthful, vigorous, clean and strong."
