CompTox Scientific Reviews

EPA’s Computational Toxicology research receives external reviews from numerous scientific boards and advisory committees. The reviews provide recommendations to EPA about ways to continue to use CompTox research to fulfill its research mission and goals.

The Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) was established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide advice, information, and recommendations about the Office of Research and Development (ORD) research program. The BOSC has a Computational Toxicology Subcommittee that provides EPA’s CompTox research program with recommendations about ways it can continue to fulfill its mission and goals. The subcommittee met for the first time in 2005 when EPA’s National Center for Computational Toxicology was established and continues to meet annually to provide guidance.

EPA's Science Advisory Board is in the process of reviewing CompTox research to assist with advancing the usage of the research in human health risk assessments. More information
