Eligible/Ineligible Products
- Eligible Product
- Fresh/frozen poultry and poultry products, pork and pork products, beef and beef
products, and sheep and goat meat and sheep and goat meat products.
Certification Requirements
- For poultry and poultry products
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5 (07/21/2010), Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and
FSIS Letterhead Certificate, Veterinary Certificate for poultry Meat and Meat Products from
Poultry Exported to Kazakhstan.
- For beef and beef products
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5 (07/21/2010), Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and
FSIS Letterhead Certificate, Veterinary Certificate for Bovine
Meat and Meat Products from Bovine Meat Exported to Kazakhstan.
- For pork and pork products
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5 (07/21/2010), Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and
FSIS Letterhead Certificate, Veterinary Certificate for Pork
Meat and Meat Products from Pork Exported to Kazakhstan.
- For sheep and goat meat and sheep and goat meat products
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5 (07/21/2010), Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and
FSIS Letterhead Certificate, Veterinary Certificate for Ovine and Caprine Meat
and Meat Products from Ovine and Caprine Meat Exported to Kazakhstan.
- The Letterhead Certificates for poultry, beef, pork, and sheep and goat meat indicated above will remain valid for entry
into Kazakhstan after Janaury 1, 2013.
- Pork Casings. Kazakhstan has agreed to accept FSIS Form 9060-7 (8/26/2011), Animal Casings Export Certificate for Countries Requiring
Ante-mortem, Post-mortem, and Fit-For-Human-Food Statements and FSIS Form 9450-6 (7/95) - Veterinary Certificate for Pork Intestine
Raw Material Exported into the Russian Federation for export of casings to Kazakhstan during the negotiation of a new casing certificate.*
Kazakhstan has not informed FSIS that natural pork casings must originate from Russian approved U.S. slaughter establishments and be
processed/selected only in the United States. Exporters are advised to work closely with the importer for information regarding
eligibility of the product.*
- Signature on certificates. All certificates must be signed by an FSIS
veterinarian: name and degree (DVM or equivalent) must be typed or printed
after the signature.
Plants Eligible to Export
All federally inspected establishments are eligible to export to Kazakhstan.
