School Improvement Plan

                Goal 1:  By May 2012 all Students will improve their written communication across the curriculum as measured by the Terra Nova 3rd Edition Language Subtest Grades 3-5, Terra Nova 3rd Edition Objective Performance Summary Part 1 – Sub skill Writing Strategies grades 3-5, and a common school wide writing assessment.  The targeted skills are grade level specific that include ideas, organization, word choice and conventions.

                Goal 2:  By May 2012 all Students will increase their targeted problem solving skills using instructional interventions implemented in math and science as measured by the Terra Nova 3rd Edition Objective Performance Summary Part – Mathematics Sub skill problem solving and reasoning, the Terra Nova 3rd Edition Objective Performance Summary Part – Science Sub skill Science Inquiry, and a Common school wide problem solving assessment.  Targeted skills are understanding the problem, identifying a plan or strategy, interpreting and analyzing data, and communicate the reasoning and process that was used.
