Maintain and be Responsible for the Information That You Publish

You must follow the established process for first getting your concept approved, then developing draft Web materials, and then getting them approved before posting. In addition to your management, Web concepts and drafts must be reviewed by your office or Regional Web Content Coordinator and often by the Office of Public Affairs. You might also need to discuss technology issues with your office or Regional Web Infrastructure Coordinator. These reviews ensure that EPA's Web site best serves the public and helps the Agency accomplish its mission.

Once published, you must maintain your Web page. Every page on EPA 's Web site can become stale over time. Periodically, you must review them to ensure that they are the highest quality and comply with EPA Web standards. In the words of EPA's Chief Information Officer, information must be "timely, accurate, integrated and useful to the public."
