In the Philippines, USAID promotes the role of women in peace building. Almost 40 percent of trained peace advocates are women.

USAID's Peace and Security program in the Philippines aims to:

  • Mitigate conflict;
  • Promote reconciliation; and
  • Combat trafficking in persons.
MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) concert.

An estimated 25,000 fans attended an MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) concert co-organized with the Philippine government, USAID, and AusAID to promote greater awareness of human trafficking.
