NOUS41 KWBC MMDDHH PNSWSH Technical Implementation Notice 12-14 National Weather Service Headquarters Washington DC 655 AM EDT Thu Mar 22 2012 TO: National Weather Service Offices Federal Aviation Administration Customers (FAA) Family of Services Subscribers (FOS) Other Customers of NWS Aviation Forecasts FROM: Cyndie Abelman Chief, Aviation Services Branch SUBJECT: Implementation of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) Service for the Heber City, Utah, Airport (K36U) Effective June 12, 2012 NOTE: The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire Service subscribers Effective Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 1800 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the NWS Office in Salt Lake City, Utah, will begin TAF service for the Heber City Municipal Airport (K36U) in Heber City, Utah. After that date, routine and updated TAFS will be issued for this airport, 24 hours a day. NWS personnel/offices will need to add the following identifier to their communications systems to receive the new TAF: Airport WMO Heading AWIPS ID --------- ----------- -------- Heber City FTUS45 KSLC TAF36U In addition the new TAF will be added to the existing TAF collectives below, which are transmitted to FAA personnel and other external customers.
