Happy 1st Birthday to The HUDdle!

Written by:

It’s time to break out the party hats, balloons and the birthday cake (you can’t forget the cake!) to celebrate the 1st birthday of the Department’s official blog: The HUDdle.  A year ago on Sunday, HUD launched a new interactive blog to better serve you, our most important customer.  This is just one way HUD is using the web and social media to provide better customer service and deliver the information that is most important to you.

To commemorate the HUDdle’s first birthday, let’s take a look back at some of the most popular blog posts over the past year.  Coming in at number 10:  HUD Grants $93 Million to Protect Kids from Lead Paint and Home Hazards.

#9.  HUD goes bilingual with Spanish blog

#8.  Supporting Affordability and Accessibility Through Housing Finance Reform

#7.  FHA Providing Unemployed Homeowners Extra Time to Get Back on Their Feet

#6.  HUD Celebrates Fair Housing Month

#5.  The Recovery Act Works: Preventing Homelessness for One Million Americans

#4.  The HOME Program Works!

#3.  Helping Public Housing Go Green

#2.  HUD Offers Latest Obama Administration Attempt to Strengthen LGBT Rights through Regulation

And the number one blog post is from Secretary Donovan Putting Americans Back to Work.

Don’t forget, you can also stay connected with HUD by visiting our Facebook page, Twitter page, and our YouTube channel.  We also have our Facebook and Twitter pages available in Spanish.  You can also have news delivered straight to your inbox by signing up for HUD Email News Alerts.

When you have a moment, be sure to stop by and leave us a comment or two.  Here’s to another great year for the HUDdle!
