Parents are important part of the education process at Jackson. When parents are meaningfully involved in their children’s education, children achieve at a higher level and have a more positive attitude toward school.

The purpose of the PTO is to solicit cooperation among parents, students, teachers, and the administrators of Jackson Elementary School. This cooperation provides the best possible learning environment for students attending the school, supports school programs, and promotes progress according to the school goals. All parents are encouraged to join the PTO.

Davo's Night
We want to thank everyone for your support in the change of establishment for our monthly dining out night, even though it was rough going. We will try Davo's again this month to see if they have been able to improve. If not, we will talk about obtaining a new partnership for the remainder of the year.

Campbell's Soup Label Contest Winner

Congratulations to Ms. C's 5th grade class for collecting the most Campbell's Labels with a total of 135! We collected 941 in all!

Box Top Collection
The final day to turn in Box Tops for this school year's profit check is February 14th! Be sure to send them in!

Book Fair
Our second in-school Book Fair is scheduled for Feb 4 - Feb 8. We will have our Family Night & Ice Cream Social on February 6th from 3:30pm - 6pm. You will receive a free ice cream for every book you purchase up to 4. Additional tickets may be purchased for $1. Our Book Fair is online until Feb 15th. Jackson Family Cook Book
Our next fundraiser is the Jackson Family Cook Book. Thank you to all who submitted recipes! Pre-Sale will be from Feb 6 - Feb 22 for $10/book. After Feb 22, the price will be $15/book. These are great gifts for family members and as keepsakes for your children to look back on!

"School Store" items go on sale in March!

Congratulations to Riley K from Ms. G's class for winning the Best Overall Chili award for our first chili cook-off. Thank you to all who participated!

Volunteering

Volunteers enable us to expand our educational programs as well as to allow for greater individual attention. Volunteers work at Jackson School on a daily basis. There are many areas in which we need volunteer help:

library
classroom (We would like to have a room parent volunteer for each classroom.)
field trips
art room
special PTO activities

Throughout the year you will be given the opportunity to help. Contact your child’s teacher or the school office if there is something you would like to do for us. WE NEED YOU!
