2008 Drought Bill Signed Into LawOn July 31, 2008, Gov. Easley signed House Bill 2499, commonly known as the, 2008 Drought Bill, into law as Session Law (SL) 2008-143. Most of the provisions in SL 2008-143 became effectively immediately upon the governor's signature. The division will update this Web page as we implement the various provisions of the new law.
