Both DoDEA Pacific and International schools compete each year in the Far East Cross Country Championship meet. Runners compete a 5K which is approximately 3 miles. Awards go to the top 3 finishing teams, boys and girls, in each division along with individual awards to the top 10 male and female runners. Championship Awards are also given for the top Relay teams and top School teams.

Far East Cross Country was was established in 1980. At the time only a Boys Champion and Girls Champion award was given, the inaugural Boys Champ was the Yokota Panthers and the girls champ was Faith Academy from the Phillippines.
