Far East Football is divided into two separate events, the Div 1 and the Div 2 Far East Football Championships which are held in November of each year. DoDEA Pacific hosts the events for all DoDEA Pacific schools. The Far East Division 1 teams compete in play offs and the top four teams compete in the Semi Final games to determine who will play in the Div 1 Championship game. The top Division 1 and Division 2 teams from each DoDEA Pacific district compete beginning each October, with the Far East Championship taking place in early November of each year.

Far East football is one of the most recent Far East events to be sponsored by the Area Office, both the Div 1 and Div 2 championships were established in 2005. Prior to football being included in Far East schools would compete as part of the Pacific Area Interscholastic Athletic Program.
