In the 'OUTLAW' News today, we are currently training up for FTX II. Today your Soldiers will be learning the basics of Urban Warfare and Operations. It will challenge them on their ability to shoot, move, and communicate in an urban environment. This is going to be a long day, as directly after our urban warfare training, the 'Outlaws' will move to the Event trail and Night Infiltration Course. The event trail is an obstacle course that simulates many different battlefield environment and will challenge each platton to work as a team to accomplish the tasks presented. This obstacle course leads directly into the night infiltration course, one of the more challenging events in BCT. During the training tonight your Soldiers will finally get to experience what it is like in a true combat like scenario. They will have live rounds fire over their heads, along with explosion simulators, artillery simulators, and flares being fired over and around them, as they use the low and high crawl to breach and infiltrate a 100yard obstacle of logs, sand, and barbed wire. Once they have infiltratyed through the course they will be assaulting enemy positions over watching the obstacle. It is a long and tiring day, and an experience that they will remeber for years to come. Be sure to ask your 'Outlaw" about the events they are conducting and remember they always need your support, when you talk with them. Graduation is coming up soon, as is the final Army Physical Fitness Test. We hope to see all of the families and friends for graduation in November.

'Outlaw' Family and Friends,

I would like to take this time to apologize for the lack of updates during my absence. I will ensure to get more photos and updates as to your Soldiers on the site within the next couple of days. For just a quick update, we have completed Basic Rifle Marksmanship, and finished Advanced Rifle Marksmanship today. All of your Soldiers except 2 have now qualified and are ready to engage the enemy with thier rifles. Over the next few weeks we will be conducting several major training events to include FTX II, Night Infiltration Course, Buddy Team Live Fire, Urban Operations, and the Event Trail. All of this will be preparing our 'Outlaws" for the final FTX, we so lovingly cal 'Victory Forge'. All of you have hopefully been able to speak to your Soldiers and can already tell a difference in them. We are seeing imporovements daily, and hope that you will be amazed at the transformation when you attend graduation. Again, I apologize for the lack of updates during my absence, but will continue to keep updates as current as possible until Graduation.

'Outlaw' Family and friends,

Welcome to a new cycle of Basic Combat Training. Our newest 'Outlaw' Soldiers have been extremely busy over the past few weeks. Your loved ones have been through many stressful and physically demanding training events that have begun to push them to their limits, and turn them into highly motivated and skilled Warriors. We have posted several new photo albums on the web site and will continue to update this as the 'Outlaws' progress through their training. Please feel free to check those out and see if you can get a glimpse of your Soldier. Alpha Company has a long standing tradition of training some of the best Soldiers in the Battlion, and we continue to pride ourselves on the quality of Soldiers that we graduate. Rest assured that your loved ones are in the best hands possible, and even when they call and tell you how hard it is and want to quit, you need to tell them that they can do it. We all hope that everyone will make it through training and we look forward to seeing all of you at graduation.
