Havelock, N.C. - Marines with Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 1 form up three of the squadron’s EA-6B Prowlers for takeoff on the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point flight line Sept. 27. The Marines, from VMAQ-1 and 4, and 6 Prowlers departed to Alaska for participation in RED FLAG-Alaska 13-1, a series of field training exercises throughout the state and western Canada until Oct. 19. The purpose is to allow for U.S. and coalition forces to provide joint offensive and counter-air interdiction, close-air support and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
