Earnings limit when I am self employed

If I am self-employed, what will my earnings limit be before or after expenses?

If you are self-employed and under full retirement age, we will count only your net earnings from self-employment towards your earnings limit.  Net earnings are your earnings after deducting expenses that you reported on Schedule C and Schedule SE of your tax return.
