2010 Funding (Year 1)
In 2010, CDC OSTLTS released $42.5 million, supported through the Prevention and Public Health Fund of the Affordable Care Act, to fund 76 state, tribal, local and territorial health departments.
Component I: All grantees have received base funding to address performance management improvement and are identified as Component I.
Component II: Nineteen of these grantees were awarded additional funds for further enhancement of efforts to effect public health system changes that improve public health impact and are identified as Component II.
2011 Funding (Year 2)
In 2011, CDC OSTLTS released an additional $33.5 million also supported through the Prevention and Public Health Fund of the Affordable Care Act, to fund 74 state, tribal, local and territorial health departments to make fundamental changes and enhancements in their organizations and practices that improve the delivery and impact of public health services.
