The Public Health Command Region - North (PHCR-North) is commited to providing military preventive medicine service and veterinary support to Active, Reserve, and National Guard units in the northeastern United States. We promote force health protection through our five Divisions: Environmental Health Engineering Division (EHED), Entomological Sciences Division (ESD), Health Risk Management Division (HRMD), Occupational Health Sciences (OHSD), Laboratory Sciences Division (LAB) and Veterinary Services Division (VSD). PHCR-North maintains a professional, technically competent staff of Soldiers and civilians. We provide preventive medicine support in the areas of medical entomology, environmental health engineering, sanitation, veterinary, industrial hygiene and occupational health, and preventive medicine readiness planning and training. We also provide trained individuals to support world-wide deployment missions and medical response teams.
PHCR-North is located on Fort George G. Meade , approximately halfway between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C., conveniently located to serve our area of responsibility. Our region includes: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine.
