First documented occurrence

South end of Old Ponquogue Bridge, east of new Ponquogue Bridge, Shinnecock Bay, LI, New York, December 3, 2004. Didemnum vexillum colonies living on a floating dock to 0.1 m water depth. Reported to occur to 8m water depth at this location on bridge pilings and other hard surfaces. Observed by T. Gardner and C. Paparo. Photographed by T. Gardner.
