Fort Detrick establishes program for Survivors of fallen Soldiers

Fort Detrick, in Frederick, Md., is working to locate and reach out to survivors of fallen Soldiers in the area.

The intent of the SOS comprehensive program is to ensure continued support as needed and desired by family members for the duration of their immediate and long term care requirements. This includes but is not limited to: grief counseling resources, life skills education, support services, Army benefits, financial counseling, and information regarding ACS and SOS events.

Survivors are eligible to apply for Survivor Vehicle Decals to enter onto the installation. Please call 301-619-2197 for more information.

Participation is voluntary, and by invitation. The Army Community Services office at Fort Detrick is developing lists of survivors in a 40-mile radius of Frederick. If you'd like to be included, please contact Fort Detrick ACS at (301) 619-2197 or e-mail survivoroutreach@amedd.army.mil.
