May an individual shipper demand re-weighing?
After you inform the individual shipper of the billing weight and total charges and before actually beginning to unload a shipment weighed at origin (
first method
under
§375.509(a)(1)
), the individual shipper may demand a re-weigh. You must base your freight bill charges upon the re-weigh weight.
