Volunteer crews from Bonneville Power Administration prepare to board C-5s and C-17s at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Wash. The employees are headed to New Jersey to help in efforts to restore transmission infrastructure damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy. In all, more than 100 employees and 71 pieces of heavy equipment deployed in three waves out of Fairchild and Joint Base Lewis McChord near Olympia, Wash.
