Individuals who wish to visit the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) because they have a strong interest in viewing records in person may do so by scheduling an appointment in the NPRC's Research Rooms:

What is the difference between Federal and Archival Records?
Please Note: Archival and Federal (non-archival) records are accessed in separate Research Rooms. If you want to view both archival and non-archival records, you must schedule an appointment with each Research Room.
