Presidential Transitions in the United States are proscribed by a variety of Federal Laws beginning with the Presidential Transition Act of 1963. Additional legislation is passed to ensure that the process continues to reflect the changes in culture and technological progress.

Travel Regulations

The Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) is the regulation found at 41 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Chapters 300 through 304 that implements statutory requirements and Executive branch policies for travel by Federal civilian employees and others authorized to travel at Government expense.
