About the Water Resources Division
The Water Resources Program provides leadership for the preservation, protection, and management of the water and aquatic resources in National Park Service units. Water resource issues include policy, planning, and regulatory review; water quality; water rights; floodplain management; erosion and sediment control; fisheries management; protection of wetland and riparian habitats; and ocean and coastal resources. The Water Resources Program helps parks address these issues through seven main programmatic areas:
