The Breath of Life Support Foundation, Inc. was established in 2006 by an ORNL employee who lost her husband to lung cancer. The foundation offers hope and encouragement to lung cancer patients and their families by providing financial support to cover needed expenses associated with cancer and its treatments. The proceeds from an annual Bass Fishing Tournament are used to help cancer patients with financial needs along with helping the organization continue a monthly community-wide lung cancer support group (3rd Mondays at 6:00 pm, Baptist West Cancer Center) and provide portable DVD players and DVDs to cancer facilities in the East Tennessee region.
