NSF's Division of Polar Programs seeks qualified candidates for the position of Program Director (Business Analyst). The incumbent will manage high-level, high-impact and complex analysis, modeling, and forecasting projects from design through closeout; create cost and operations models, predicting costs based on program design to enable program planners to optimize operations; maintain cost and operations models that are used for systems optimization and long-range investment planning for the logistics, infrastructure, and science support of Arctic and Antarctic program activities, and observe and verify changes as the program is executed. The Program Director also will be required to oversee and administer contractor support for cost and technical analysis when necessary.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent experience in in physical science, engineering, and/or mathematics. Experience in finance, business, business administration, or accounting and expertise in design and application of cost and operations analysis principles and terminology is desirable, along with six or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience in the science and engineering field.
