JONES REQUESTS TEMPORARY HOUSING UNITS FOR PAMLICO AND HYDE COUNTIES

Sep 16, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) asked FEMA to deploy temporary housing units to communities in Pamlico and Hyde counties affected by Hurricane Irene and the flooding that followed.  Jones sent a letter to Administrator Craig Fugate in support of a resolution passed by the Pamlico County Board of Commissioners enlisting support for temporary housing units.  Many of these areas do not have alternative housing options and need FEMA’s assistance immediately.
