Principal's WelcomePrincipal

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to our school Website!

As your new principal, I am so excited to join such a wonderful school and community.  Please know that my priority is full support of learning and continuing to provide a nurturing, safe, challenging environment for students.  At Quantico Middle/High School, we have a unique opportunity to live and learn near our finest service  men and women in uniform, and to show our support for their efforts by performing in the classroom with character and integrity.
We at QM/HS believe that educational excellence helps:

  • to develop strong understanding, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  • to instill a life-long appreciation for learning and continued intellectual curiosity.
  • to foster a sense of moral and ethical behavior.
  • to build confidence, based on strong academic preparation.

We are committed to the philosophy that all students must have the opportunity to reach their full potential, to enhance their self-esteem, and to become a successful part of a demanding, changing society.

QM/HS students will be given the opportunity to make certain choices – these choices are to:

  • consistently attend class , showing self discipline and dedication
  • work hard , recognizing the value of overcoming challenges
  • be a good person , showing pride, character, and citizenship
  • demonstrate self-determination
  • engage in community volunteer activities, adding value to the community
  • take advantage of all academic, career-enhancing,  and culturally enriching opportunities

The choices you make have a great deal to do with your success in school and in your future.
Academics are our main focus. We strongly support student involvement in extracurricular activities at school. Whether it is in one of the many clubs offered, as a member of a sports team, with student government, performing arts or various other activities, being involved will not only make school more fun, it will lead you to become an active and involved member of the school family. Please know that you are always welcome to visit and to share.

Again, please feel free to contact us if you have questions.  Welcome to Warrior territory!

Michael A. Johnson, Ed.S
Principal
