Vision

Quantico Middle/High School is a grade 6 through 12 military dependents’ school located on the Quantico Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. Facilities include one large building with 122 rooms and thirteen modular units with 20 rooms.

Student Demographics

  • 5% foreign students
  • 100% come from a household with
    • at least one full-time employed parent/sponsor
    • at least 1 parent/sponsor with a high school diploma, equivalent or higher degree of education
    • a suitable home (physical structure) and paid utilities
  • 25% receive free or reduced lunch
  • The student body is:

  • 12% of our students require special education, including 6 with Moderate/Sever impairments who require comprehensive services

School Schedule

The instructional program in all grades is organized in an A/B block schedule with 85-minute class periods.  an Instructional Support period of 45 minutes at the end of the day provides opportunities for those students needing additional support and instruction.  Bell Schedules

The school day for students begins at 7:40 am and ends at 2:10 pm

  • Students will not be permitted to loiter near buildings or parking lots after arriving on campus.
  • Teacher supervision will not be provided for students before 7:30 am. or after 3:00 pm unless directed by the administrator.
  • Students should not be in the building before 7:20 am.
  • Students must depart campus after 2:10pm unless supervised by either a teacher or coach .
  • If an activity does not begin immediately after school, students should take the bus home and return for the event. Students may not wait on campus for its scheduled start.

After-School Instructional Support

  • Offered from 2:15 pm - 3:00 pm.
  • All students will wait in the cafeteria after 3:00 pm for the late buses.
  • Late buses arrive at approximately 3:15 pm
