THE VISA TELEPHONE INFORMATION SERVICE
The Visa Information Service is available by either telephone or Internet.
Self Service Internet Access
To access visa information and/or to schedule appointments using the Self Service option, please go to http://italy.usvisa-info.com and follow the instructions. There is a $10.00 USD fee payable by Visa or MasterCard. One fee will allow you to schedule a family of up to 5 immediate family members, residing at the same address. The Visa Information Service fee is non-refundable.
Once you have paid this fee you will have unlimited access to visa information and to manage your appointment. Your access to the system will expire at midnight on your appointment date. Additionally, if you have previously accessed visa information and scheduled your appointment using our telephone service, you may subsequently access the service online to reschedule your appointment and get additional information at no additional cost.

Should you wish to speak with an operator about visa information and/or in order to schedule an appointment, please call one of the telephone numbers listed below. This web service works in conjunction with the current telephone service. Please click HERE (links to http://italy.usvisa-info.com) to obtain additional information about both services.
The Visa Information Service is available by telephone from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on Italian Holidays.

A credit card charge of €15 per call will apply using a MasterCard or Visa Credit Card. Up to 5 appointments can be scheduled at one time for immediate family members who reside in the same household. You can manage your existing appointment on the self-service web at no additional charge.

In general, if you call from a cellular telephone, the telephone call will be cut off once you reach a maximum charge of €15. If you have not yet completed your call at that time, you may have to call back, incurring additional charges. For the reason, it is recommended that you call from a landline telephone.
The appointment schedule for visa interview is made available every two months. Applicants have the ability to schedule their visa interview for the current month or the next calendar month.
You still need to contact the Visa Telephone Information Service in case of an emergency visa interview. Emergencies include:
- Urgent medical treatment
- Urgent business travel
- Family emergency (death of a close relative)
- Appearance in a U.S. Court
