In December 2009, the White House issued an unprecedented requirement for federal agencies to immediately implement actions related to transparency, participation and collaboration. NASA’s Office of Education is taking the next step to get involved with the Agency’s commitment to supporting this Open Government Directive.
NASA Education is committed to engaging audiences through technology, as evidenced by our high-visibility Web site www.nasa.gov/education. NASA aims to continue contributing to the development of the Nation’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, workforce of the future by identifying and developing the critical skills and capabilities needed to support the nation’s space exploration mission. To do so, NASA must implement effective outreach strategies through digital and electronic environments which are often the best way to reach today’s students, educators, and families.
