ANNOTATION: “The DOC shall provide access to comprehensive library services that include, but are not limited to, a reference collection containing general and specialized materials, and planned and continuous acquisition of materials to meet the needs of DOC employees/contract workers and offenders … The purpose of this administrative regulation (AR) is to govern library services, including acquisition of materials, hours of availability, and staffing” (p. 1). Procedures cover: planning, coordination, and funding of library services; Colorado State Library (CSL) regional librarians and DOC Library employees; library services; and collection development. Attachments include: Offender Library User Agreement; Library Request Slip; Request for an Individual’s Address/Phone Number; Interlibrary Loan Request/Agreement; Request for Reconsideration of Library Material; and Checklist for Reconsideration of Library Material.
