The Catwalk National Recreation Area will be open effective Saturday, October 6, 2012, starting at 8:00 a.m. This is only a partial opening as crews continue to work on portions of the Catwalk that were taken down after the Whitewater Baldy Fire.
On October 6, 2012 the following sections of the Catwalk Natonal Recreation Trail will be open:
The picnic area
The old trail as far as the first segment of the suspended trail.
Porta-potties are available with one accesible toilet.
Because this is a partial reopening there will be NO fees to visit the Catwalk area.
