The Buffalo National River! Photo taken yesterday, Oct. 16th, at the lower end of the Buffalo, near Hwy 14, south of Yellville Arkansas. The fall colors are just beautiful in Northwest Arkansas.

Get an annual pass (bargain!) and head west... or stay and explore there if you're already living over yonder! Our vacation that ended just over a week ago included the north part of Yellowstone (their "grand canyon" is sooo different from the geyser area), Little Big Horn National Monument (every American should go there and LEARN), Devil's Tower National Monument, Badlands National Park (gorgeous!), Fort Laramie National Historic Site, and Rocky Mountain National Park (stunning, and soooo many great trails!). In the past we also visited four other absolutely amazing national parks out west-- Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah, Glacier in Montana, and North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Another less known gem is Capitol Reef National Park, a bit north of Bryce and Zion in Utah. Great treasures all!
