Gulf Coast Task Force Captures Murder Suspect
Corpus Christi, TX – The Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) arrested James Beasley. Beasley was wanted in Indianapolis, Indiana for Homicide and Attempted Homicide. The warrant stemmed from two separate shooting incidents that occurred on August 08, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN. Beasley was arrested in the 4100 block of Port Ave in Corpus Christi, TX and taken to Nueces County where he is awaiting extradition.

The Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force is a team comprised of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals, Corpus Christi Police Department, Nueces and Victoria Counties Sheriff’s Departments, and the Texas Department of Corrections. The task force objective is to seek out and arrest violent criminals, gang members, and sex offenders. U.S. Marshals-led district task forces arrested 81,900 state and local fugitives in FY 2010, clearing approximately 108,200 state and local felony warrants.
